Usually i instruct customer to operate it like this

a. turn the dial left (counter clockwise)

b. stopping when the 1st number comes to the opening index mark the fourth time

c. turn the dial right (clockwise)

d. stopping when the 2nd number comes to the opening index mark the third time

e. turn the dial left ( counter clockwise)

f. stopping when the 3rd number come to the opening index mark the second time

TO OPEN THE SAFE LOCK: turn the dial slowly to the right clockwise until it stops, then turn the safe handle and open the door
